Flavorful Fat Head Pizza

 Fat Head Pizza

Here is a yummy version of Fat Head Pizza. The Nutritional yeast and seasonings take it to the next level.


Ingredients

Dough

1 3/4 Cups of shredded Mozzarella

3/4 Cups blanched finely ground almond flour

2 Tablespoons cream cheese

1 egg

pinch of salt to taste

1/2 Teaspoon of dried basil or Italian herb blend ( either is delicious!)

1/2 Teaspoon of nutritional yeast

1/4 Teaspoon of granulated garlic powder

1/4 Teaspoon of onion powder

Toppings

Shredded Mozzarella & Parmesan 

no sugar added marinara sauce

meats & veggies ( I love pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, olives)


Instructions

1.  Microwave the shredded cheese and cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl for about a minute.

2. Stir, then microwave for about 30 more seconds. The goal is to have melted cheese.

3. Add the seasonings and almond meal and mix well. 

4. Add the egg. It may be easier at this point to use your hands to work the egg in.

5. Place the ball of dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper and roll it into a circular pizza shape. 

6. Remove the top layer of parchment paper and poke fork holes over the entire pizza crust to ensure even cooking.

7. Slide the parchment paper with the rolled pizza dough onto a baking tray and bake at 425f about 12-15 min or until brown. 

*keep an eye on the crust as it bakes. I like to flip it over once the top part looks like it's getting close to being done to slightly brown the other side. It makes for a crispier crust which is my personal preference.

8. Once the crust if finished baking, remove it from the oven and add your favorite toppings. 

9. Pop it back into the oven at 425f for about 5 min. or until the cheese is nice and melted.

10. Remove the pizza from the oven & slice it up

11. Enjoy! 

* This pizza is also delicious cold the next day!
